Biography

Michael Sim Boon Gi (Mike) founded Entail Holdings Pte. Ltd. in July 2017, where he is the fund manager and local representative director. A Singaporean with 14 years’ experience in career in financial industry, he started and managed a fund in global marco economics, focusing on US equities, using qualitative methods in long and long/short strategies. With a team of highly trained specialists across the industry, he has successfully transformed, structured, and executed Cayman Island fund structures and Singapore Variable Capital Companies. Mike’s firm was one of the early selected companies for Singapore Variable Capital Companies (VCC), as of 1Q 2022 there are more than 450 registered and license VCC.     It was a good introductory course, had lot of information about the industry and the examples given to explain topics are easy enough to understand. Instead of using Images animated objects could have been used.

    TIPS and GUIDE to Fund Management Industry
    Easy to follow from a beginner's background, many examples are used to relate to our everyday lifestyle. The course gave a good overview of the industry and actionable practices for working toward a fund manager. Despite some minor errors in the video playback, I am looking forward to an intermediate course on the fund management industry!

    An inspiring and resourceful course to students. Never have I thought that I will be receiving tips on building presence in a fund management course! I enjoy Mike's simple analogy of "Chicken Rice" in demonstrating how curiosity could expand into, really impressive. Having completed this course, I have learnt a thorough problem-solving framework in approaching business problem, can't wait to put it in use!
